Barquillos re-invented… piles of neatly-made, wonderfully flavored Clara’s barquillos where you can smell the goat’s milk even before it crumbles in your mouth. The olfactory appeal of mango flavored barquillos comes from real mango, pureed and incorporated in the rich batter of this tasty delicacy. Treats that also come in ube, strawberry, buko pandan, coco, choco and mocha.
Clara’s Food Products is a tasty pasalubong line of piaya, bañadas, brojas, rosquillos, egg crackers, sinambag, garlic bread, ugoy-ugoy, meringue, paciencia, butter cookies, uraro cookies, mamon tostado and biscocho. Add to these specialties like galletas, caramel tarts, butterscotch, manga pastilles, mango & pineapple tartlets, muscovado nougats, chewy butterscotch brownies, and special, pinipig & cashew pulvorons.
Cecil went into food trade in 1984 and named it in memory of her mother who started the business. It has since then generated jobs, financed her children’s education and made a name as a Negrense brand. Her products had been twice nominated in the Bulawan Awards through assistance gained from ANP in terms of product development and packaging, technical and short term financial assistance as well as participation in the ANP annual trade fairs and other trade missions. Products are available at Bago City, Cebu City and at local malls, groceries, pasalubong centers, hotels, pension houses and the Negros Showroom.
