In a world where even designer objects are starting to look the same, the Crafted Fantasies of Alexandra “Alex” Anuales makes it a point to create captivating wearable art with a certain touch of individuality. With the need to express her fantastical view of the world, every piece is meaningful, personal, and will get that response of delight from others that will definitely make you smile.
Alex first fiddled with costume jewelry as early as 4th grade. She and her friends simply adored their classmate’s beaded bangle so when she came home, she used the seed beads her mother had to create a funky bracelet. Fast forward to 7 years since then, she realized in her learnings on the art of costume jewelry that what she did back then was actually an advanced form of beading called peyote stitching. Armed with the realization of God’s gift, she went on and pursued what used to be a past time to deal with the “whole day breaks” (or endless free time) in her college years as an industrial design student
In 2008, Alex finally decided to bring her little business of beads and clay to a higher level and had it registered as Crafted Fantasies Collection and applied for membership in the ANP. But even prior to membership, the Association of Negros Producers has tremendously impacted her growth as a designer as she used to join almost every seminar and workshop they offered in her senior year in college to fill in what she felt was the deficiency of knowledge. Through those workshops, she met people of great perspective and the knowledge they taught were simply irreplaceable.
Currently, Crafted Fantasies has evolved from simply the use of beads and wires, to sculpting polymer clay as a welcome medium following her other passion in creating fondant figures. Crafted fantasies is proud to be the first, if not the only polymer clay jewelry designer in ANP with trademark products being the scented-food-themed accessories, embellished fantasy creatures, and clay wrapped lockets.
From simple beadings to dainty wire works, chic clay impressions to detailed clay sculpting, each Crafted Fantasies product promises to deliver on originality and creativity in a whimsical and amazing manner
