Profile
Reycon is tradition recreated. It is a maker of good quality hand-woven and hand embroidered piña barongs and gowns, beaded and dyed shawls, piña cloth in pure piña fibers or exquisitely combined with silk. It is also a producer of abaca cloth, abaca slippers in both plain and beaded styles, bags made in abaca, piña, and piña & silk combination, as well as pillow cases, pouch bags, table accessories and the sought after lines of fashion accessories.
Reycon started in 1996 at the piña weaving center of the Philippines, Kalibo, Aklan, where the piña cloth is woven from the best and finest strands of native pineapple leaves. Coupled with the embroidery skills of the Negrense and inputs from the Philippine Textile Research Institute and the Design Center of the Philippines through DTI, product quality became sustainable. It was awarded as a Negros Trade Fair’s 2005 Top Seller for fashion accessories.
Seminars include Effective Marketing & Selling Techniques, and Communications: Key to Opening Doors to Opportunities, while selling missions include the Mindanao Food & Hotel Expo in Cagayan de Oro, Panubli-on in Muntinlupa, Alabang, and Kasalan sa Casino Filipino, Bacolod. Products are displayed at the Hand Made Gallery and the Negros Showroom.
